How to play the UK National Lotto?
There are four ways to play UK national lotto games: the UK national lottery
Playing UK national lotto In person:
Fill in a playslip at your nearest UK Lotto retailer and pay in cash for up to 16 draws' worth of numbers. You have up to 2 hours to cancel the ticket, but note that you can't just say "I don't like the numbers" (e.g. for a Lucky Dip) - valid reasons would include the ticket not being printed properly or the assistant gave you the wrong type of ticket (e.g. a Lucky Dip instead of fixed numbers).
Play lotto game via Subscription:
You can take out a subscription by post. Note that subscriptions are only open to people with a UK bank account and a UK residential address, but you can pay for them with direct debit, a cheque or a postal order.
Play lotto online, the national lottery game
The official Camelot site now includes the ability to play the main UK Lotto, Daily Play and Euro Millions games via online purchasing of tickets. This may require a UK debit card.
Sky Digital: Interactive way to play UK national lotto
The interactive services of Sky Digital (UK satellite TV) now include the ability to buy UK lottery tickets.
Play UK national lotto in a
syndicate
Playing in a group can increase the fun and excitement of playing The National
Lotto. Groups can be made up of friends, family or work colleagues. It's a great way of playing The National Lottery and by following a few simple guidelines, playing should be easy and enjoyable.
For example, let's say you and nine of your friends decide to form a group, putting in £1 a draw each. Instead of your £1 buying one set of six numbers, you'll have an equal share in ten sets of numbers, giving you ten times more chances of winning a prize.
So if your group won a jackpot of £2,000,000, your share would be £200,000.
